A New Criminal Case Has Been Opened Against Former Political Prisoner Pavel Mozheiko

A new criminal case has been opened against Pavel Mozeyko, a former political prisoner and journalist who is now living in exile. This was reported by reported by Grodno human rights activists.

The case was opened on May 11, presumably under one of the “political” articles—Article 361-4 (“Facilitation of extremist activity”).

“I don’t know exactly what the case is about. I know about dozens of ‘procedural actions’ taken against my relatives and acquaintances: searches, interrogations, ‘informal conversations,’” Pavel said.

As a reminder, in July 2023, Pavel Mozeyko was sentenced to six years of imprisonment in a maximum-security penal colony.

On September 11, 2025, Mozeyko was released and transported to Lithuania along with other political prisoners.
