One of the main topics of the talks is air defense.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held meetings with three Ukrainian military officials: the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Horbatyuk, and Commander of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleg Apostol. He reported this on Telegram.
According to him, he learned from Drapaty’s report about the situation on the relevant fronts in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions.
“I am grateful to all our units, which are effectively destroying the occupier and preventing the Russian army from carrying out its assigned tasks,” the Ukrainian president noted.
During the discussions, special attention was paid to fulfilling agreements with partners and ensuring a steady supply of equipment to defend Ukraine. Zelenskyy stated that air defense and the full fulfillment of contracts for the production of all types of drones remain the top priority.
The third topic discussed during the conversation was the Oleksandrivka sector of the front and the active operations of the Ukrainian airborne assault troops, the head of state reported.
“I appreciate the objective assessment of the situation, the detailed analysis of the key needs of the corps and brigades on the front lines, and the proposals for addressing problematic issues and eliminating supply shortages,” he added.
