Following Its Attacks On Wildberries Warehouses, Ukraine Struck Facilities Belonging To Russia's Largest Meat Producer

On the night of July 22, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked facilities belonging to the Miratorg agricultural holding in the Klimovsky District of the Bryansk Region. At one of the facilities, the shelling caused serious damage to production buildings and triggered a fire. “The damage is significant. No one was injured,” — reported the company’s press service. At another facility, a security guard was wounded by shrapnel from a drone. Additionally, at a pig farm, a feed truck that was being unloaded was damaged during a drone attack. “The vehicle is immobilized. The driver was not injured,” Miratorg clarified.
The day before, on July 21, the agricultural holding’s facilities in the Bryansk Region were also hit by attacks from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The region’s acting governor Yegor Kovalchuk noted that several production buildings were damaged and two heavy-duty trucks were destroyed. No reports of casualties have been received. “Miratorg” is Russia’s largest producer of pork and beef. According to the company itself, it produces 30 metric tons of products daily and distributes them throughout the country. The agricultural holding is owned by brothers Alexander and Viktor Linnik, who are linked to the wife of former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
Prior to this, the Ukrainian Armed Forces began striking logistics centers Russia’s largest marketplace—Wildberries. On July 18, warehouses in Kotovsk, Tambov Oblast, and Elektrostal, near Moscow, came under attack. Eight people were killed, and about 80 were injured. Severe fires broke out. On July 22, facilities in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk were hit. Thirteen people were injured. The regional office of Rospotrebnadzor recommended that Krasnodar residents limit their time outdoors and wear respirators due to the fire at the Wildberries warehouse.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had struck facilities belonging to the Russian marketplace, calling them “long-range sanctions.” He also stated that the logistics centers were involved “in supplying the Russian army with drone components, navigation equipment, and gear.”
On June 25, Zelenskyy approved a “40-day influence operation” against Russia for the Security Service of Ukraine “with the aim of bringing the war to an end.” He did not specify what this entailed. However, prior to that, Zelenskyy discussed a “plan for long-range sanctions, medium-range sanctions,” and the work of the “Alpha” Special Operations Center on the front lines.
