Drones Attacked A Liquefied Gas Facility In The Ulyanovsk Region Of The Russian Federation

A major fire broke out at the scene, and thick black smoke rose into the air.

On the night of July 23, drones reached Russia’s Ulyanovsk Region, where an oil refining facility.

According to preliminary reports, the drones may have struck the liquefied gas facility of NS-Oil LLC in the industrial town of Novospasskoye in the Ulyanovsk Region. This has been reported by OSINT channels.

“In Novospasskoye, Ulyanovsk Region, the liquefied gas facility of NS-Oil LLC was attacked,” the report states.

According to another monitoring channel, an NS-Oil LLC oil refinery in Novospassk was struck by drones. However, as of the time of publication, there was no precise official information regarding which specific facility was attacked.

Footage of the aftermath of the strikes has also appeared online. A massive fire broke out at the site, and thick black smoke rose into the sky.

Prior to this, an air raid alert had been issued in the region around 3:00 a.m. due to a threat from a UAV. At Ulyanovsk Airport, Rosaviatsiya activated the “Kover” plan in response to the threat. However, local authorities have not commented on the attack.

It is worth noting that NS-Oil refines crude oil and produces gasoline, diesel, and fuel oil. The plant has a capacity of up to 600,000 metric tons of fuel per year. Previously, in October 2025, this facility had already been attacked by drones.
