An Attack By Ukrainian Drones Led To The Cancellation Of A Concert By The Belarusian Ensemble "Pesnyary"

The UAV attack on the oil refinery in Tyumen had an unusual outcome.

Ukrainian drones attacked the Tyumen Oil Refinery. The governor of the Tyumen Region Alexander Moor confirmed this information on his Telegram channel.

“As a result of the attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), an enemy drone crashed on the grounds of the Tyumen Oil Refinery. A fire broke out. Emergency response specialists are on the scene. I am personally monitoring the situation,” the official noted.

Subscribers to the ASTRA in Tyumen reported hearing at least two explosions and seeing air defense systems in action. They also reported seeing smoke rising above the Tyumen Oil Refinery. The refinery was previously attacked on June 20, 2026, and earlier in October 2025, even though it is located more than 2,000 km from the border with Ukraine.

Ukraine has been regularly striking Russian oil refineries since 2024 in response to Russia’s full-scale aggression. Since the beginning of July 2026 alone, strikes on ten facilities have been confirmed: the Omsk Oil Refinery, the “First Plant” Oil Refinery in the Kaluga Region, oil refineries in Saratov and Nizhnekamsk, two oil storage facilities in Azov, the Syzran Oil Refinery, an oil depot in the Stavropol Krai, the Afipsk Oil Refinery in the Kuban region, the “Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat” petrochemical complex in Bashkortostan, and an oil refinery in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

Due to the attack on the oil refinery, authorities canceled the City Day celebrations, at which the Belarusian ensemble “Pesnyary” was scheduled to perform.
