Restrictions on diesel exports will be lifted as the market recovers.
Russia will extend the ban on gasoline exports until the end of the year, while the ban on diesel exports will be lifted “as the market recovers.”
This was announced by Russian Deputy Prime Minister for the Fuel Industry Alexander Novak, according to the Russian propaganda agency TASS.
Earlier, it was reported that Russian authorities were discussing the possibility of extending the ban on diesel fuel exports for producers, which is set to expire on July 31, for another month, and the ban on gasoline exports—which also ends in late July—for six months at once, the Russian agency Interfax had reported.
At that time, a source stated that a draft of the relevant decree had already been prepared, but the final decision would be made by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Novak.
Another source stated that such a decision had “effectively been made.”
