Human rights activists have learned of this.

Political prisoners Gleb Gerasimovich and Alexander Milkamovich have been sentenced for participating in an “extremist” group. This was reported by the human rights center “Viasna”.

The men were tried under Part 2 of Article 361-1 of the Criminal Code (“Participation in an extremist group”). They were each sentenced to six years of imprisonment in a maximum-security penal colony, as well as a fine of 500 base units each (approximately 22,500 rubles).

The detention and criminal prosecution of the defendants stem from a KGB decision dated July 30, 2025, designating the Green Network coalition of initiatives as an “extremist group.” The authorities included the initiatives Belarus Beehive, “Green Portal,” and the public association “Ekodom” in the list of projects grouped under this name. It is also known that Gerasimovich and Milkamanoich are the founders of the Belarusian startup school Malimon.

The exact circumstances of the criminal case and the details of the trial are currently unknown.
