The Weather Is Set To Surprise Belarusians Once Again

In some areas, temperatures will reach +35°C.

Belhydromet has declared an orange danger level for August 16. The reason is extreme heat in many regions of the country. Maximum air temperatures will reach +35°C in some areas.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ warning, the southwestern region will be the hottest. In Minsk, temperatures will range from +28 to +30°C; in the Minsk Region, from +27 to +32°C; in the Brest Region, from +29 to +35°C; in the Grodno Region, from +27 to +32°C; in the Gomel region—from +29 to +34°C, in the Mogilev region—from +28 to +33°C, and in the Vitebsk region—from +25 to +30°C.

In addition to the heat, thunderstorms and strong winds are forecast in some areas.
