Monitoring groups report that loud explosions were heard in the city of Chekhov in the Moscow Region of the Russian Federation. Residents are complaining about swarms of drones flying overhead and the activity of local air defense systems.

Meanwhile, Russian social media groups are speculating that the drones are likely heading toward a local Wildberries warehouse. Video from the scene is being published by the Exilenova+ channel.

“Chekhov, Moscow Region. There are reports of drones flying overhead, air defense activity, and fires,” the post states.

Later, monitoring groups reported that a drone crashed into an apartment building due to the actions of local air defense forces. The drone attack is currently ongoing, and local residents speculate that a nearby Wildberries warehouse may be the target.

According to open sources, on August 4, the marketplace’s warehouse was attacked using drones. The attack caused a small fire, which was extinguished by employees of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.
