“The aftermath of the strike on a Su-34 front-line bomber last night at the airfield in Akhtubinsk [Astrakhan Region, Russian Federation]. A fuel spill followed by a fire. The bomber itself is significantly damaged,” reads the description accompanying the satellite image.
The Su-34 multi-role fighter-bomber is the primary carrier of guided aerial bombs (KAB) with universal planning and correction modules, as well as standardized joint-service guided munitions (UMPB). The Russian Federation uses such munitions to attack cities located near the front lines.
