Medvedev Has Turned Against Armenia

Yerevan is distancing itself from Moscow.

Yerevan will permanently damage its relations with Russia and other members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), said Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council .

“It is obvious that Armenia will never join the European Union, which is suffering from chronic ills, but it will permanently damage its relations with Russia and other EAEU countries,” he said in an interview with TASS.

Yerevan will soon begin the process of submitting an official application for EU membership, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on August 24 while addressing parliament.

In the spring of 2025, the Armenian authorities passed a law to begin the process of joining the European Union.
