Belarusian Drivers Can Expect A New Development

"Belgosstrakh" promises to launch a new service.

As early as this fall, Belarusian drivers may be able to file accident reports electronically—Belgosstrakh has announced this initiative, according to the ONT television channel.

According to Belgosstrakh CEO Sergey Yakubitsky, the launch of the new system is tentatively scheduled for October–November of this year. Belgosstrakh and Promtransinvest are working on developing specialized mobile apps, while the Belarusian Bureau of Transport Insurance is overseeing the project.

The new service is expected to eliminate the need for drivers to draw a diagram of a traffic accident by hand—instead, the app will guide the user step-by-step through the process of filling out the form, and all information will be automatically sent to the insurance company and the State Traffic Police.

The main goal of this innovation is to reduce the number of errors that often occur when filling out traditional paper forms, as well as to make the procedure for reporting traffic accidents faster and more convenient for those involved.

As a reminder, back in April 2025, the maximum payout under the Europrotocol ceased to be tied to the euro exchange rate—instead, it was expressed in base units, with a limit set at 150 base units (which is currently equivalent to 6,750 rubles). Prior to that, the upper limit for payments was 800 euros.
