Ukrainian Armed Forces Drones Attacked Moscow

Russian air defense forces reportedly shot down seven Ukrainian fixed-wing drones flying toward Moscow. This was reported by the capital’s mayor, Sergei Sobyanin.

According to him, the wreckage of the downed drones fell within the city or the region.

Thus, since the beginning of the day August 28, the Russian military has reported the destruction of nine drones heading toward Moscow. Sobyanin reported on the first two downed drones this morning.

The previous drone attack on the Moscow region took place on August 26. At that time, according to Russian authorities, air defense forces destroyed ten drones.

Due to that attack, operations at Moscow’s airports were temporarily restricted. Domodedovo and Zhukovsky suspended flight arrivals and departures, while Vnukovo continued to handle flights in coordination with the relevant authorities.
