27 People Were Killed As A Result Of Russian Strikes On The Kyiv Region

Twenty-seven people were killed and another 42 were injured as a result of attacks on the Kyiv region on August 28. This was reported by the head of the regional administration Timur Tkachenko, according to New Voice.

According to him, among the dead is the head of the Dmytrivska community Taras Didich.

“According to reports, 42 people sustained injuries of varying severity, including four children. All received qualified medical care, and seven of the injured were hospitalized,” Tkachenko added.

About 380 people were evacuated.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also commented on the strike on his Telegram channel.

“There was a strike on a warehouse followed by an explosion. Unfortunately, there is significant damage to the surrounding infrastructure: residential buildings, a retirement home, and a facility for people with disabilities have been damaged. At this time, it is known that 27 people have died,” wrote the President of Ukraine.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that the village of Milaya, where an ammunition depot was allegedly located, was attacked in the area.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi compared what happened in Milaya to the explosion and subsequent fire in Vyshneve on July 6, where an ammunition depot located near residential buildings was attacked. He cited “criminal negligence.”
