Lukashenko will fuel panic

Lukashenko will not agree to allow his territory to be used for an attack on Ukraine and the Baltic states as long as China supports him in this. And China does support him. But against the backdrop of reports about preparations for an attack on one of the Baltic states (which is why Retcliffe came to Moscow), Lukashenko’s visit takes on new significance.

After this visit, a flood of new conspiracy theories will emerge, put forward by the Russians and eagerly amplified by Western and Ukrainian media. As a result, the level of alarm will rise sharply. And all of this will take place against the backdrop of Russian aircraft incursions into NATO territory and attacks on ships in Romania’s territorial waters.

Putin’s Plan for the Next Two Months

Putin needs hysteria in Europe, but it is far more important to him that Trump—who has already made a move toward engagement (Retcliffe’s visit is evidence of this)—return to the spirit of Anchorage II.

This information-kinetic operation has a specific timeframe—the U.S. elections.

To strike before the U.S. elections means to sink Trump, because then he’ll lose both the House and the Senate. Therefore, on the one hand, Trump has time to rename lakes and oceans, but at the same time, he will be forced to pay attention to the unfolding of the Russian hybrid operation. After all, it will inevitably influence the course of the election.

The sharp increase in shelling of Ukraine—and, in particular, Kyiv—is part of this operation. It is extremely important for Putin to drastically worsen the moral and psychological state of the population and try to break their will to resist. At the same time, he will attempt to portray the cessation of shelling as the result of maximum concessions.

Life, as always, will have its own way, but it appears that this is Russia’s “Plan A” for the next few months.
