In Donetsk, a car belonging to the first deputy warden of the Olenevskaya Colony was blown up. The condition of Dmitry Neelov is still unknown, according to "Focus" reports.
On the night of Saturday, August 29, an explosion occurred in the car of Dmitry Neelov, the first deputy warden of the Olenevskaya Colony, in the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk. This was reported by the publication “Censor,” citing its own sources in the security services.
A source at the “Ukrainska Pravda” publication also confirmed the information about the explosion of a vehicle belonging to an individual involved in the torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilians in Olenivka.
According to preliminary reports, an explosive device was placed under the vehicle.
The publication “Prestupnosti.net” adds that the explosion occurred at night in the Budennovskyi district of Donetsk. The bomb exploded when Neelov got into the car.
Yevhen Karas, commander of the 413th Separate “Raid” Unmanned Systems Battalion, also reported on the explosion that occurred on the Day of Remembrance for the Defenders of Ukraine.
“The first deputy warden of the Olenevskaya Colony in occupied Donetsk provided outstanding support for the commemoration of the fallen Ukrainian heroes,” the military officer wrote.
In the spring of 2026, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Office of the Prosecutor General charged him in absentia with committing war crimes.
In July, the Council of the European Union imposed sanctions against eight individuals and one organization responsible for torture and cruel and degrading treatment of Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilians. Among those on the list was Dmitry Neyolov, who bore direct responsibility for the mass killings of Ukrainian prisoners in Olenivka.

As a reminder, on the night of July 29, 2022, an explosion rocked the Olenevka penal colony. Fifty-three Ukrainian prisoners of war were killed in the barracks, and more than 140 were injured.
