The Ukrainian Armed Forces took out several key elements of Russia's air defense system at once.
On the night of August 30, Ukrainian defense forces launched a massive strike against the Russian military airfields “Yeisk” and “Millerovo.” As a result of the operation, five air defense facilities, ammunition depots, and technical structures belonging to the occupying forces were destroyed.
This was reported by the Telegram channel of the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdy “Madyar” and a post from the developers of the Fire Point UAV.
In the Krasnodar Region, units of the 1st Separate Unmanned Systems Center used FP-1 drones to deliver precision strikes on the territory of a military airfield and surrounding settlements.
The attack destroyed:
— “Pantsir-S1” air defense system;
— “Sopka-2” (12L6) radar;
— “Kasta 2E2” radar (near the village of Shabelskoye);
— An aviation supply depot.
According to NASA satellite imagery and geolocation data, large-scale fires broke out at the facility in at least three locations following the explosions.
In the Rostov Region, Ukrainian drones targeted facilities at the “Millerovo” airfield and near the village of Dolotinko. The following were destroyed at this location:
— The “RSP-27” (DRL-27) radar and the “Nebo-SV” radar;
— Ammunition depots;
— The technical operations unit.
The main target of the strike was the DRL-27 module. This is an airfield control radar, a critically important element of air traffic control that operates as part of an integrated system with the PRL-27 landing radar.
All losses of enemy equipment and infrastructure have been confirmed by follow-up reconnaissance data.
