In Moscow, they essentially signed the agreement out of panic and desperation.

Russian State Duma Deputy Alexey Zhuravlev stated that Russia should use tactical nuclear weapons against Ukraine if necessary. According to him, there should be no debate about the possible use of such weapons.

Zhuravlev himself announced this in a video message posted on his Telegram channel.

He stated that Russian troops are advancing, but, in his opinion, “we need to deliver stronger strikes.”

“We are obligated to use tactical nuclear weapons, and we shouldn’t make a big deal out of it. We must force the enemy to surrender,” Zhuravlev said.

The lawmaker also emphasized that Ukraine must understand: it will have to surrender.

“If we have to strike—we will strike. And that’s not up for debate,” he said.

Earlier, remarks by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov were also interpreted as hinting at the possible use of nuclear weapons in response to NATO aggression.
