A fundraiser has begun to organize a Christmas camp.

The Czech charity Dům Dobra has announced a fundraiser to organize the ROOTS Camp winter camp for the children of Ukrainian defenders.

These children are spending their childhood amid the sounds of sirens and explosions, in constant anxiety and anticipation of news from their parents, who are on the front lines. The organizers acknowledge that while they cannot stop the war, they can give the children a small Christmas miracle—a week away from it.

“In the tranquility of the Czech mountains, the children will be able to feel safe—to play, be creative, have fun, and make new friends. A special program led by experienced psychologists will help them build emotional resilience, learn to cope with stress, better understand their emotions, and find inner strength. And English classes and work with artificial intelligence tools will help broaden their horizons, build self-confidence, and discover more opportunities for themselves in the future”, the organizers explained.

For children who have been living in a state of anxiety for a long time, a week like this isn’t just a vacation—it’s a chance to recharge, feel supported by those around them, and simply be children.

Participation in the camp will be completely free for families. Currently, the foundation needs to raise funds to cover travel, lodging, meals, and the program for the children.

The organizers are calling on people to support the fundraiser with any amount or to share this information—according to them, this help will be not just a contribution to the camp, but a contribution to the children’s future.
