Lukashenko Has Left Belarus Again

Alexander Lukashenko will travel to Kyrgyzstan on September 1, where he will take part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit marking the organization’s 25th anniversary. This was reported by a Telegram channel close to his press office.

Formally, the agenda includes security, energy, transportation, digitalization, and scientific and technical cooperation. In practice, however, for the Belarusian leader, such summits have long since become a familiar ritual: an opportunity to demonstrate once again that he is still welcomed at the same table as the leaders of major powers.

It should be noted that Lukashenko returned yesterday from Russia, where he met with Putin.
