Overnight, Russia launched a precision ballistic strike against a railway depot and other railway facilities in Kyiv. Seven people were killed in the attack, six of whom were employees of Ukrzaliznytsia.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine reports, citing a post on Facebook by the head of “Ukrzaliznytsia” Oleksandr Pertsovskyi.

According to Pertsovskyi, the Russians deliberately launched ballistic missiles specifically at the railway depot and other railway facilities in Kyiv. Seven people were killed in the attack, six of whom were Ukrzaliznytsia employees.


Another colleague is in the hospital with injuries and is receiving all necessary medical care.

Dozens of workers managed to take shelter—they are now receiving support to recover from the ordeal. The company’s CEO described the extensive damage: a workshop near the depot was completely destroyed, and rescue workers are still extinguishing several fires.

Traffic was temporarily suspended on two tracks due to the blast but has since been restored.

“All of this pales in comparison to the terrible loss of our colleagues,” wrote Pertsovsky, adding that the company is reaching out to the families of the victims and supporting them during this difficult time.
