On the night of September 1, drones launched a massive attack on several regions of Russia. In the Leningrad Region, a major commercial seaport caught fire following a series of strikes, according to "Focus".
The port of Ust-Luga was hit: destruction and fires have been reported there. This was reported early this morning by the region’s governor Alexander Drozdhenko.
“As a result of the UAV attack, damage has been reported in the Ust-Luga port area, and a fire has broken out. Emergency services are on the scene. Information on the consequences is being clarified. The attack is still being repelled,” the official noted.
According to Drozdzenko, the attack on the Leningrad Region began around 2:00 a.m. and continued until morning. Dozens of UAVs were detected in the sky over the region. As of 4:30 a.m., according to the governor, air defenses reportedly destroyed at least 44 drones. Full details on the consequences are still being determined.
Drone attacks on other regions of the Russian Federation—what is known
In addition to the Leningrad Region, drones also struck the Samara Region of the Russian Federation last night. OSINT sources reported a series of explosions and hits in Togliatti.

Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also reported on an attempt by drones to attack Moscow last night. According to him, Russian air defense forces allegedly shot down 12 UAVs on the outskirts of the Russian capital at first, and then another 5 drones shortly thereafter.
“Emergency response specialists are working at the crash sites,” Sobyanin noted, without providing any further details.
