U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Iran will continue to lose its tankers due to attacks on U.S. warships. According to him, Washington is determined to continue “strangling” Tehran economically.

According to Rubio, Washington does not believe that any country is providing Iran with anything that changes the dynamics or parameters of what the U.S. is observing.

At the same time, he noted that Tehran is paying for its attacks on American ships with its own tankers.

“They continue to fire on warships, and when they fire on our warships, they pay for it with their tankers. They don’t hit our ships, but they lose five tankers. Last night they lost another five. Four were damaged, and one was sunk,” Rubio said

The Secretary of State also emphasized that the Iranians will continue to pay the price for this.
