The Production Designer For The TV Series “Liquidation” Was Arrested In Russia On Charges Of “treason”

Alexander Kondratov , the art director of the Russian TV series “Liquidation” , has been charged with treason for posts he made online. This was reported by a "Mediazona" correspondent from the Moscow City Court, where an appeal against the defendant’s arrest was denied.
According to the man’s attorney, the ruling to open the case states that he “committed treason through at least six online posts.” The defense attorney did not specify what those posts were about.
Kondratov worked as a production designer. He received the “Golden Eagle” and TEFI awards for the TV series “Liquidation.” According to the project “Support for Political Prisoners. Memorial,” Kondratov had been living in Kyiv since 2012 and had traveled to Moscow to renew his passport.
He was detained at Vnukovo Airport on May 5. Prior to the opening of the case, he had been subjected to “rotating arrests.”
“Liquidation” is a well-known Russian detective television series from 2007, directed by Sergei Ursulyak, which depicts the fight against crime in postwar Odessa.
