Ukrainian Armed Forces Drones Flew More Than 3,200 Km To Strike A Plant In Novy Urengoy

This is an all-time record for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Ukrainian FP-1 drones struck the Novy Urengoy Condensate Processing Plant (ZPKT) in Russia’s Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

To do so, the UAV had to fly more than 3,200 km, Fire Point reported on its X social media account.

According to Fire Point, the September 9 strike on Russian strategic targets at a distance of more than 3,200 km is currently a record for the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and the attack proved successful: direct hits on the facility have been confirmed. The extent of the damage inflicted on the enemy continues to be assessed.

The condensate processing plant in Novy Urengoy, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, is a key facility for gas condensate processing in Russia. It can process up to 19.5 million metric tons of raw material annually and prepare it for transportation via pipeline.

On September 9, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck not only the ZPKT in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, but also a gas condensate plant in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug of Yugra. As a result of the attack, hits were also recorded on the premises of this facility. This refers to the plant near Surgut, Russia’s largest facility for processing oil-and-gas-condensate mixtures.
