Zelenskyy Called On The U.S. To Impose New Sanctions On Russia

The vote on Senator Graham's "hellish sanctions" marks a historic moment for the United States.

The U.S. must impose sanctions against Russia immediately to deprive it of the ability to finance the war against Ukraine on a daily basis. During wartime, it is better to make even an imperfect decision than to delay.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement, according to his Telegram channel.

The head of state expressed his frustration over the delays in imposing critically important restrictions against the aggressor country.

In his view, economic and energy sanctions, as well as bans on the production of ballistic weapons in Russia, must be implemented without delay.

“Decisions on sanctions, on economic and energy restrictions against the Russian Federation, and on restrictions on the production of ballistic missiles and related weapons must be adopted immediately. What are we waiting for?” Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President of Ukraine emphasized the importance of support for U.S. legislation, in particular, the initiatives of Senator Lindsey Graham.

The Ukrainian leader noted that the vote on the sanctions bill in Congress is a historic moment for the U.S., as it represents the defense of shared values.

In addition to legislative measures, Ukraine is also counting on decisive action from the U.S. executive branch.

“Beyond that, strong decisions by the U.S. presidential administration are important. President Trump’s personal decisions. I really hope so,” the head of state added.
