Nearly 600,000 people have registered for the Mass celebrated by Pope Leo XIV in Paris. This was announced on X by the archbishop of the French capital, Laurent Ulrik.

“As we approach the 600,000 mark for registered participants, we have asked the authorities for permission and received approval to set up an additional area for visitors … within the secured perimeter,” Ulrik said.

The registration platform will close today at 6:00 p.m. local time (7:00 p.m. in Minsk), the Archbishop of Paris announced. “A huge number of the faithful have responded to the Holy Father’s invitation to come and pray with him, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.
