There Is Extensive Damage And Many Injured In Kyiv Following A Russian Missile Attack

As a result of a nighttime missile attack by Russian forces on Kyiv, extensive damage has been reported and there are casualties. The effects of the enemy shelling are being observed in three districts of the capital at once; in addition, water pressure in the city has dropped amid the attack.

Civilian infrastructure facilities in the capital came under fire from Russian ballistic and hypersonic “Zircon”-type missiles. “Focus” has compiled information on what is known about the consequences of the enemy shelling.

The mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on the initial consequences of the attack around 3:00 a.m. The official wrote that damage was initially reported in two districts of the capital—Dniprovskyi and Sviatoshynskyi. In the Dniprovskyi district, debris from enemy missiles struck several locations, damaging an office building and a residential building. Debris also fell on warehouse premises and near a gas station. The Kyiv City Military Administration clarified that the warehouses were also damaged.

Subsequently, reports emerged of further damage in Kyiv. Klitschko reported that in the Dnipro district, the windows and facade of a three-story office building were damaged, and windows were shattered in several residential buildings.

In the Solomensky district, it turned out that Russian forces had destroyed warehouse facilities, though no fire broke out.

According to the mayor, as of 5:00 a.m., at least 12 people in Kyiv were reported injured as a result of the Russian Federation’s overnight shelling. Among them are two children, aged 12 and 10. Nine of the injured are in hospitals under medical supervision.

In addition, posts on Kyiv social media groups overnight reported that water supply disruptions were observed on the left bank of Kyiv amid the Russian attack. Eyewitnesses claimed that water pressure had dropped in apartments.

Klitschko later confirmed this information. According to him, reduced water pressure is being observed in the Solomianskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Sviatoshynskyi districts, though the causes remain unknown. Specialists are already working to restore the water supply.
