Tusk Explained How Russia Would Start A War Against NATO

In the coming months, Russia may intensify its attacks not only against Ukraine but also against countries that support it. Specifically, this could include Poland and other countries on NATO’s eastern flank.
This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, according to Politico.
According to him, intelligence assessments from NATO, Ukraine, and Poland point to a scenario in which Russia could use drones and missiles to attack countries supporting Ukraine.
Tusk noted that the latest intelligence on this matter is “very consistent and convincing.”
“There is a real risk that drones or other types of missiles could land on the territory of one or more NATO countries on the eastern flank and cause damage. And the official line will be that this was an accidental incident and that there is no basis for considering any NATO response,” the Polish prime minister said.
According to him, Russia may thus attempt to test the Alliance’s readiness to respond to such incidents and weaken its unity.
“The goal would be to undermine NATO’s integrity as a whole and, above all, to convince member states that Article 5 is more theoretical than practical,” Tusk said.
It should be noted that Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty establishes the principle of collective defense: an armed attack against one NATO member is considered an attack against all.
Tusk Expects Intensified Attacks on Ukraine
The Polish prime minister also warned that the coming fall and winter could be an extremely difficult period for Ukraine. According to him, Russia will continue to launch intense strikes on Ukrainian cities, infrastructure, and logistics facilities.
Tusk noted that Russian troops may focus particularly on warehouses, railway infrastructure, and other facilities that are critical to Ukraine’s defense.
“For now, it’s Ukraine,” he said, referring to the targets of the Russian attacks.
At the same time, the politician stated that the consequences of such strikes could directly affect Poland as well, since the attacks are increasingly taking place near the Polish-Ukrainian border.
The prime minister also specifically mentioned the new generation of jet-powered drones that Russia is increasingly using against Ukraine. According to him, such drones travel significantly faster and at higher altitudes, making them harder to detect and intercept.
“We are facing a very serious test, because we will certainly become the target of far more dangerous provocations and incidents than before,” Tusk warned.
