Ukraine's "Neptune" Struck The "Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant" In Russia

The Ukrainian Defense Forces dealt strike against the “Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant”, located in the Rostov Region of Russia. According to the press service of the Ukrainian Navy, naval personnel, as part of a joint operation with the Security Service of Ukraine, struck the “Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant” in the Rostov Region using “Neptune” cruise missiles.

According to preliminary information, the plant’s production facilities were damaged, specifically the optical and foundry production facilities, the assembly area, the electroplating shop, and the printed circuit board manufacturing shop.

It is reported that the plant is part of the Russian defense-industrial complex and manufactures optoelectronic components for military equipment and weapons. The company’s products are used in weapons systems that Russian troops employ, in particular, to launch missile strikes on the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.

“The destruction and damage to the ‘Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant’ directly affects the ability of Russian forces to continue their aggression against Ukraine,” the Ukrainian Navy notes.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this enterprise is part of the “Tactical Missile Weapons” corporation and specializes in the production of optical-mechanical and optoelectronic products, electronic systems for artillery, missile, and anti-tank weapons, as well as radar homing heads for tactical guided missiles.
