Russia Struck The Saudi Arabian Ambassador's Residence In Kyiv

The President of Ukraine called on partners to strengthen sanctions against Moscow.
Russia, the aggressor nation, continues its terror campaign against Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities. On Sunday alone, Russian occupiers launched jet-powered drones at a number of civilian targets in Kyiv, including two kindergartens and two schools. The residence of the Saudi Arabian ambassador was also hit.
This was reported Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on his X page.
The head of state noted that such a choice of targets has only one definition—terrorism. The targeted facilities have no military significance. Through such strikes, the enemy is attempting to inflict as much harm as possible on the Ukrainian people.
According to the President of Ukraine, today’s attacks by the occupiers have resulted in fatalities and left dozens of people injured.
Meanwhile, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the enemy struck a sports school, and in the Sumy region, a regional children’s home.
The head of state noted that all these strikes demonstrate Russia’s unwillingness to end the terror, and that international partners must assess the situation soberly.
The President of Ukraine warned the world against believing the Kremlin’s empty promises.
“Russia knows how to send the kind of hopeful diplomatic signals that the world simply wants to hear. It knows how to send such signals to delay tough measures by the international community in response to the war,” the country’s leader stated.
In this regard, the president called for the full implementation of the law signed in the U.S.—the Lindsey Graham Act—imposing new sanctions against Russia. Ukraine is counting on strong action from its international partners.
“It is important that our other partners from the G7 and G20 also take a principled stance,” the Ukrainian leader added.
The President of Ukraine spoke about the preparation of new sanctions packages, including those targeting financial networks and supply chains for components and equipment used in the production of Russian weapons. The restrictions will also target specific companies and individuals involved in the production of Russian ballistics.
According to Zelenskyy, the new sanctions could take effect as early as October to push the aggressor country toward genuine diplomacy.
