People In Belgorod Have Risen Up Against The Kremlin's Party

There are calls to disqualify “United Russia” from the election.

Ahead of the parliamentary elections, a small-scale protest broke out in Belgorod, Russia. Local residents recorded a video message demanding that the ruling party “United Russia,” founded by Vladimir Putin, be removed from the ballot. This was reported by Dialog.UA.

The Russians issued an anti-war statement, noting that they are already fed up with the endless ‘special military operation’.

“They removed (from the State Duma elections—ed.) the Yabloko party, which was fully in favor of peace. We live in a border region, in Belgorod. And we’re just so sick and tired of this war! We want peace. We talk to people—everyone wants it. Everyone is living in stress and apathy. We’ve written statements and are calling on the people to participate… If they removed that party (ed.), which stands for peace, then we have the right to remove all the other parties! We want peace! The “United Russia” party is a party of war, hunger, and poverty for the people—of death and murder. We don’t need that! (…) “We are in favor of removing it from the election and eliminating it as unfit and unnecessary for our minds, as it is destroying our country,” reads the statement from the Belgorod residents.
