Trump's Approval Rating Has Plummeted To A Record Low

Support for U.S. President Donald Trump has fallen to a new low. The poll results indicate growing voter dissatisfaction with his economic policies, as well as with the cost of living.

This was reported by the Financial Times.

According to the latest nationwide Focaldata poll, only 33% of registered voters approve of Trump’s performance in office.

It is worth noting that this is the worst result since May, when the FT first began tracking this metric.

Journalists point out that the president’s approval rating has fallen by another three percentage points over the past month.

Importantly, support for Trump has declined even among Republicans.

Among voters in that party, 72% of those surveyed approve of his job performance—this is also the lowest figure in the history of the FT’s poll.

According to media reports, one of the main reasons for the drop in his approval rating was voters’ increasingly negative assessments of the economic situation and the cost of living.

Most respondents also viewed the president’s tariff and trade policies negatively.

Another important factor is that the poll was conducted against the backdrop of the war in Iran, which Trump has so far been unable to end.

Over the past six months, the conflict has contributed to higher borrowing costs for the U.S., as well as higher prices for fuel and consumer goods.
