The Former Head Coach Of The Belarusian National Basketball Team Has Been Embroiled In A High-profile Scandal

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has banned Lithuanian coach Rimantas Grigas from holding any position in basketball until October 27, 2030, according to betnews.by.

The FIBA Disciplinary Commission also fined Grigas 12,000 Swiss francs (12,768 euros).

Grigas, who led the Belarusian women’s national team from 2012 to 2014, had previously been accused of sexual harassment. Complaints were filed with the relevant authorities by female players on the Lithuanian national team, who chose to remain anonymous.
