Zelenskyy Announced An Important Meeting With Trump In September

The President of Ukraine outlined which topics are most likely to be raised first during the negotiations.
A meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. President Donald Trump may take place in the second half of September.
According to RBC-Ukraine, President Zelenskyy made this announcement in remarks to journalists.
Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is developing its own “Freya” missile program and hopes for U.S. support in this area.
According to the president, Kyiv will certainly achieve the desired result with its European partners. However, for this to happen, Ukraine needs ballistic missile systems specifically from the United States.
Zelenskyy hopes to raise this issue during his meeting with Donald Trump.
“I’m expecting to meet with Trump around the 20th. I plan to bring up this issue. And God willing, there will be a result,” Zelenskyy said.
According to Zelenskyy, the parties are moving toward a trilateral format for negotiations.
“We’ve agreed with the American side: let’s work all this out among ourselves first, and then we’ll communicate it,” he added.
