In Kyiv, an enemy drone struck the building of the “We Are Ukraine” TV channel right in the middle of a live broadcast by journalists. The building has been partially destroyed; there are casualties, and that number may rise.

This was reported by Charter97.org, citing a post by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Strike on the “We Are Ukraine” TV channel building

A strike drone hit the building of the “We Are Ukraine” TV channel, where the “United News” telethon was airing at the time. The attack occurred in the middle of the day, precisely while journalists were broadcasting live.

As a result of the strike, the building was partially destroyed. All necessary emergency services have begun working at the scene. The fire that broke out after the strike has already been extinguished by State Emergency Service personnel.

As of now, five people are known to have been injured as a result of the attack on the TV station. According to Zelenskyy, this number may still rise.

“Suicide bombers targeting the media mark a new chapter in Russia’s moral decline, and Europe and the world must certainly respond to this,” the Ukrainian president noted.

The President of Ukraine added that no attack on Ukraine or Ukrainians should go unpunished. According to him, Russia must be stopped, and this can only be achieved through joint efforts.
