Part Of Ammonia Shop Shut Down At 'Hrodna-Azot'

The enterprise started to burn process gas.

The synthesis section of the ammonia-3 shop has been shut down in reserve since September 3, reported Hrodna-Azot. The flare of burning process gas is supposed to be visible in Hrodna.

"During the shutdown of the synthesis department, in order to utilise combustible substances included in the process gas, the regulations provide for its combustion at the flare unit," said the company.

After withdrawal of the synthesis department from the reserve, the gas combustion will be stopped.

We remind, Hrodna Azot plans to build a station for the cleaning of wastewater, which will be discharged into the Neman. The previous burning of the "torch" was reported in April. At that time yellow smoke - "fox tail" - could appear above the plant.
