During a massive shelling of Kyiv on January 2, Russian missile debris fell near the U.S. Embassy. The building is located in the Shevchenkivskyi District of Kyiv. This was announced by the acting head of the Shevchenkivska City District Administration Oleksandr Popovtsev on the air of a telethon, 24 Channel reports.
According to him, the Shevchenkivskyi District was one of the epicenters of the fall of the Russian drone debris – near the Dorohozhychi Kyiv Metro Station, on Telihy Street.
“The debris of the downed missile fell into the park area, fortunately, no one was injured. In about 10 residential buildings windows were broken. City services are on the scene. And there are also minor fragments of missiles in the area of the U.S. Embassy," said Oleksandr Popovtsev.
It is noted that the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Mykola Oleshchuk, said that the attack on January 2 was similar to the one that the enemy committed on December 29. The types and number of air targets are similar.
