Lukashists are lost in the numbers.
An ice palace has been opened in Svetlahorsk, the press service of the National Olympic Committee reports. The stands of the new arena are designed for 490 people.
"The multifunctional complex includes an ice arena 60 metres by 26 metres with stands for 490 seats. There is also a hall for acrobatics, choreography, a gym, a hall for training throws, a training class, locker rooms for athletes, coaches' rooms, referees' rooms, rooms for distribution, sharpening, drying and storage of skates, administrative and utility rooms," the report says.
It is assumed that the new ice arena will become a training base for a hockey school, which is likely to appear in Svetlahorsk.
It is interesting that, according to the press service of the NOC, the new arena became the 45th in the country. The hockey federation wrote that it's already the 46th rink in Belarus. But the website of the federation itself lists only 34 arenas in the "Ice Arenas" section.
The website of the International Ice Hockey Federation also lists different figures regarding Belarus: 39 indoor rinks and two outdoor ones.
