Russian Propagandists Seem Shocked By Cost Of Taking Avdiivka

The ruins of the city cost the invaders many times more than Bakhmut.

Russian Z-channels write about the cost the Russian invaders paid for the ruins of the city of Avdiivka, UNIAN reports.

Russian “military correspondents” have calculated that Avdiivka cost Russia several times more than Bakhmut.

“I believe that it is unacceptable to voice the number of losses, but everyone seems to know that Avdiivka cost us many times more than Bakhmut. And even the final stage of the assault — it also cost many times more,” writes Russian propagandist Maxim Kalashnikov.

He also admitted that in the end the Russians still end up with ruins rather than cities. The price for this is huge losses. Kalashnikov noted that “no one runs in iron helmets anymore,” and the reason is not that more modern helmets have appeared, but that the occupiers have run out.

Ukrainian journalist Denis Kazansky noted that Avdiivka was so insanely filled with corpses before Putin’s elections. The Kremlin urgently needed at least some kind of victory.

“And it was obtained at the very price that Girkin-Strelkov’s friends write about,” writes Kazansky.

On the night of February 17, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky announced the withdrawal of Ukrainian units from Avdiivka.
