The full weight of the sanctions measures that the allies have imposed on Russia will also be applied to Belarus.
NATO member states believe there are no signs yet that Belarus may officially join the full-scale aggression against Ukraine. The Alliance is also closely monitoring the movement of military hardware along the border with Belarus.
This was reported by a high-ranking NATO official on condition of anonymity, reports Channel 24. He noted that Belarus has not yet shown interest in officially entering the war and becoming a party to the conflict.
"Lukashenka should realise that the full weight of sanctions measures, which the allies have imposed on Russia, will also be applied to Belarus if Belarusian troops carry out offensive operations against Ukraine," said the NATO official.
We remind you that on April 2, Lukashenka said that Belarus is preparing for war, but "for the sake of peace." He assured that the required training of relevant units is being carried out in the country, while the armed forces are being supplied with various types of weapons and equipment.
