There has been a fatality.

Three Russian drones struck near residential buildings in the Industrial District of Kharkiv, shattering windows in five of them and damaging the roofs. The city’s mayor, Igor Terekhov, reported this on October 4.

“Unfortunately, there has been one fatality. In addition, eight people were injured, one of whom is in very serious condition,” Terekhov said.

The head of the regional administration, Oleg Sinegubov, clarified that one of the strikes hit a high-rise building. Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) also reported fires in an administrative building and at an industrial facility. In addition, vehicles were damaged during the attack. According to “Novosti.LIVE”, the man who died as a result of one of the strikes was traveling in a car with a woman and a dog. The woman survived but is currently in intensive care. The dog also survived—it was rescued from the car and taken to an animal shelter.

The Russian military regularly carries out airstrikes on Kharkiv. On the afternoon of October 2, guided bombs were dropped on two districts of the city. One of the bombs struck a private residential building.
