The Kremlin Complained About Trump At The G7 Summit

The U.S. president was "fed" ideas that were "harmful" to Russia.

The Kremlin complained that European leaders at the G7 summit in France were “feeding” U.S. President Donald Trump “harmful ideas.”

According to “European Truth”, this was stated by Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov.

When asked whether European leaders could influence the U.S. president, Ushakov said: “Europeans have a negative influence—that’s clear—but Trump is also a strong politician and sticks to his views.”

“The issue of Ukraine was actively discussed during the G7 summit.” As one might expect, Trump was being fed—I would say—perhaps useless, if not harmful, ideas,” he said.

According to Ushakov, there have been no contacts between Russia and the U.S. since the summit in France.

In a joint statement following the Evian summit, the G7 leaders expressed their willingness to consider granting Ukraine licenses to manufacture interceptor missiles directly on Ukrainian territory.

In addition, after the G7 summit, Trump spoke of “very good conversations” with Putin and Zelenskyy and stated that, in his words, both would like to end the war but “don’t know how.”

Trump said he is open to reinstating sanctions against Russian oil following the exemption the U.S. had granted amid sky-high global energy prices caused by the war with Iran.
