Photos Have Surfaced Of "negligent Farmers" Sent To Military Training Camp

The Ministry of Defense has published photos from military training exercises featuring “negligent farmers”—agricultural workers who were drafted by order of Alexander Lukashenko.

According to the ministry, the conscripted farmers are undergoing training at a special operations unit, where they are practicing tactical maneuvers at a training ground.

“During the session, they completed a psychological obstacle course, took a test drive in BTR-70MB1 armored personnel carriers, and practiced evacuating units via armored personnel carriers to the assembly area,” the ministry’s statement reads.

Earlier, the website Charter97.org reported that the Special Operations Forces (SSO) of Belarus had begun recruiting individuals who had performed poorly during the harvest campaign—as reported by the Ministry of Defense’s press service.

The initiative to send such people to the army came from Alexander Lukashenko. On July 22, during a conference call, he proposed sending absentees and those who violated labor discipline to the Ukrainian border instead of subjecting them to criminal prosecution.
