Roman Svitán: Ukraine Can Remove Its Transmitter Stations In Belarus Without Firing A Single Shot

Kyiv has a whole arsenal of tools at its disposal.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reiterated his ultimatum to Lukashenko and stated that the Belarusian dictator must take down the relay stations for Russian drones, or else the Ukrainians will do it themselves.

What might such an operation to neutralize the relay stations look like?

The website Charter97.org posed this question to Colonel (Res.) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military expert, and flight instructor Roman Svitan:

— The first option: the relay stations can be jammed, as we are currently doing. The second option is to destroy them directly. That is, by targeting the relay station with radio-guided missiles, so-called anti-radar missiles. These could be HARM missiles.

They can be tuned to the relay frequency: these could be drones under real-time control—either directly controlled by an operator, or by artificial intelligence with machine learning, or anti-radar drones that lock onto the signal source. There are many possibilities, but we cannot rule out the possibility of direct action by, say, agents of our special services, who, upon reaching the target, would neutralize them on the spot.

These options are all possible; all mechanisms can be deployed, and the faster we destroy them, the better.

There is another option—to halt the flow of oil through the “Druzhba” pipeline by shutting down the Mozyr Oil Refinery until they take it down themselves. So there are plenty of options, and which one is used depends on the General Staff’s decision.
— Will Lukashenko comply with the ultimatum?
— He won’t go against Putin on his own. I think Lukashenko will give us the opportunity to destroy them, and then he’ll tell Putin, “It wasn’t me, and it’s not my problem.” “The Ukrainians destroyed them themselves; I’m not going to shoot at them.”

Before that, our intelligence services and the Belarusian ones might come to an agreement. They’ll work it out among themselves: “Let’s take them out ourselves, and you just sit there and don’t lift a finger.”
