Visas To Latvia Are Now Issued Under A New Procedure

The new policy took effect on August 17.
The Latvian visa centers in Minsk and Vitebsk have changed their appointment scheduling process for document submission. Applicants will now first be added to a verified waiting list, and only after slots become available will they be offered the option to select an appointment time. This was announced by the VFS Global visa center.
The new procedure is in effect as of August 17 and applies to all categories of applicants and types of visas without exception. First, you must create and activate a personal account on the VFS Global website, as well as specify the desired visa center, visa category, and subcategory. After that, you will need to upload a photo of the personal information page of your valid passport and complete a digital facial verification.
If verification is successful, the applicant is automatically added to the waiting list, and a confirmation email is sent with an individual registration number.
When slots become available at the consulate, VFS Global sends invitations to the corresponding number of people in the queue. Applicants have 72 hours to select a date and time to submit their documents—if they miss this deadline, the appointment will be canceled, and they will have to register again. However, you cannot change a visit time once it has been selected.
Appointments previously confirmed for the period from August 17 to August 31 remain valid. However, anyone who was on the previous waiting list as of midnight on August 17 was automatically removed from it—these applicants will have to start the registration process from scratch in the new system.
