Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak acknowledged the problems in the energy market.
Russia has begun importing fuel to stabilize the energy market. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak in comments to the Vesti news agency.
“Imports have already begun,” the deputy prime minister noted. He also reported that the government has adopted the necessary regulatory acts to allow for the production of lower-grade fuel. The measure applies to Euro-2, Euro-3, and Euro-4 standard gasoline and diesel fuel, Mr. Novak clarified.
Problems with fuel supplies to gas stations in Russia began in late May due to attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on oil refineries. This triggered price increases at gas stations and a fuel shortage.
