Russia's Barbaric Attack On Kyiv: 12 People Are Already Known To Have Been Killed

A day of mourning has been declared in the Ukrainian capital.
Twelve people were killed in Kyiv as a result of a massive attack on August 20. Another 33 residents of the Ukrainian capital were injured.
This was reported by the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko.
According to him, seven of the fatalities occurred in the Solomianskyi district.
Damage was reported in the Svyatoshyn, Solomianskyi, and Darnytskyi districts. In the Darnytskyi district, non-residential and warehouse facilities were damaged; in the Sviatoshynskyi district, damage was reported to buildings in non-residential areas and warehouses.
In the Solomianskyi district, the upper floors of a nine-story residential building were destroyed, and a fire broke out there as well. Windows were damaged in four residential buildings.
In addition, a four-story building caught fire due to falling debris. A school and a children’s hospital were damaged; windows were shattered, and cars were burning on the grounds of the medical facility.
Cleanup efforts following the attack are ongoing at the sites. As of 8:00 a.m., an air raid alert was still in effect in Kyiv.
In addition, Vitali Klitschko announced that August 21 has been declared a day of mourning in the capital for those who died as a result of the massive attack. On this day, entertainment events will be banned in the city, and flags will be flown at half-mast on public utility buildings.
He also noted that cleanup efforts following the attack in the Solomianskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Darnytskyi districts are continuing.
