Belarus National Soccer Team Player Placed On The Ministry Of Internal Affairs' Wanted List

Nikolai Zolotov expressed his support for Ukraine.
Nikolai Zolotov, a 31-year-old defender for Moldova’s Zimbru , is wanted in the Vitebsk Region in connection with a criminal case. He was added to the wanted list on July 7, according to “Tribuna”.
Earlier, Nikolai was placed on the “blacklist” of Sports Minister Sergei Kovalchuk for criticizing the authorities and condemning the war in Ukraine; those on the list are tacitly barred from performing in Belarus.
In 2025, Zolotov stated that he “sincerely repented” for his previous remarks.
In eight matches in the Moldovan league this year, Zolotov scored one goal. He has played 14 games for the Belarusian national team.
Also wanted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs has placed on the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ wanted list former national team goalkeeper Gennady Tumilovich.
