Ukraine Struck Russian Airfields, Radar Stations, And A Maritime Oil Terminal With Drones

The Main Intelligence Directorate reported on strikes deep inside Russia.
On the night of August 20, GUR operatives, in coordination with the Defense Forces, struck several key military targets in Russia, including two airfields from which attack drones were launched against Ukraine.
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
Strikes on Airfields
On the night of August 20, as part of another deepstrike operation, GUR operators struck enemy drone storage and launch sites at two airfields. In the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk and the city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia.
According to intelligence reports, it was from these locations that the Russians were constantly launching attack drones against civilian targets in Ukraine. As a result of the strikes, ground components of the systems and drone launchers were damaged, and fires broke out at the impact sites.
Destroyed radar stations
In addition, during the attack on Primorsko-Akhtarsk, operators tracked down and destroyed two high-value enemy radar stations near the airfield—the 55Zh6U “Nebo-U” and the 55Zh6UM “Niobium.”
Strike on the oil terminal
That same night, GUR operatives, together with other components of the Security and Defense Forces, struck a maritime facility (the “Tamanneftegaz” terminal in the Krasnodar Krai https://charter97.org/ru/news/2026/8/20/695382/), which supplies the Russian occupation army.
The tank farm and sections of the main pipelines there were damaged, resulting in a large-scale fire on the facility’s grounds.
